Ditaxis biseriata failed moult

Thousands of these insects were emerging every night for a few weeks. Of the few nights that I went to watch the amazing emergence only once did I see an individual being attacked by ants during emergence. Come to think of it, I don't know why I didn't see more.

It's safe to say though that this poor bugger did not stand a chance. Even if the ants left it alone, without its wings unfurled it would not be a successful individual.
