Yellow-banded Ichneumon Wasp (Echthromorpha agrestoria) & Large Brown Mantid (Archimantis latistyla)
These wasps seem have a chemical defence (as I should have suspected from the warning colours). When the mantid took a bite out of them I would smell something not very nice, and the mantid would throw the wasp away. This said, the mantid did once eat a whole wasp after the initial smell was released. Additionally, it was also willing to strike again at another wasp after experiencing the chemical defence, perhaps because it was not learned, or because it managed to eat a whole one without much trouble prior to this.
