You may need to look a little closer at this one to see this camouflaged little planthopper nymph! Its large caudal appendages move around every once in awhile like antennae, perhaps in order to mislead potential predators (such as my camera apparently). These cicadas were observed moulting on the base of Macadamia trees in an orchard in the early evening/very late afternoon.
