Ant-mimicing spider (Myrmarachne sp.)
I had to double-take this spider, as it looks so much like the ants crawling on the plans in my yard. It's front legs act like antennae, really aiding in the disguise of this trick some little critter!

As large as my spred hand, this huntsman was a bit terrifying to look up at, my camera and [more importantly] face directly underneath her.
Wolf spider (Lycosidae)
A wolf spider on a salt lake in Victoria struggles to hold an already dead owlfly, while trying to hold and kill a winged ant. The ant escaped.

This male wolf spider was very upset to see us spotlighting around the desert and charged us several times, body raised in a display of aggression. Scary or cute... I don't know!
